Fiscal Court renewed their agreement with the animal shelters to allow stray animals found in Todd or Trigg Counties to be housed at the Christian County Animal Shelter. Judge Executive Jerry Gilliam read the motion.
The agreement also comes with some financial support from Trigg and Todd Counties. During public comments, Diane Croney Turner from Jeffers Bend Environmental Center invited the community to their upcoming Naturefest.
Naturefest has been a Jeffers Bend staple since 2003 and this year the fest will include hayrides, a petting zoo, face painting, wellness activities, possibly canoeing and much more.
Naturefest will take over Jeffers Bend on September 21 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
