Bomb threat resulted in high alert precautions for schools on Koffman Drive

A bomb threat made via voicemail resulted in Hopkinsville High School and Indian Hills Elementary School being put on high alert on Tuesday morning.

Following an investigation by the Hopkinsville Police Department, the Christian County Public School System announced that the threat was not credible and appeared to be an act of swatting. Swatting is the act of reporting an emergency to cause a large dispatch of law enforcement.

Both schools have since resumed normal schedules.
