The BBQ Shack has said their location at Knockum Hill will reopen after the business sustained heavy fire damage Wednesday.
The fire began Wednesday morning near the barbecue pits and spread to the building, and numerous departments responded to the restaurant, including LaFayette, Herndon, Oak Grove, Square Deal and Pembroke Volunteer Fire Departments, and they were able to bring the blaze under control. Unfortunately, the building sustained extensive damage.
In a post to social media, restaurant officials say that means the BBQ Shack at that location will be closed until further notice, while the location on Pembroke Road will remain open.
They also assure the community that they will be back open, it will just take a little time.
