Hopkinsville City Council Member Jamie Lienberger and co-defendant Daniella Maleno appeared in Christian Circuit Court on Wednesday where a resolution may be in the works for their case.
Lienberger, who represents Ward Nine, is charged with on one count of tampering with a witness and Maleno is charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12 years of age and tampering with a witness in relation to an incident from October.
The pair’s defense attorney, Sands Chewning and Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Greg Cortese says they are working toward a resolution, but they are still waiting for information regarding the victim’s well-being from DCBS.
Lienberger and Maleno will reappear in court on September 25 where a resolution should be reached.
