Heritage Christian Academy earned a top-10 finish Saturday in the Christian County Invitational Cross Country meet at the Hopkinsville Community College.
Cadyn Travis led HCA across the finish line, placing 38th in 21.30.90.
Levi Johnston ran 45th in a time of 22:00.50 and Aaron Hensley was 51st in 22:14.30.
Others running for HCA included Josh Farmer (105th, 26:05.60), Ben Hensley (109, 26:54.80), Ryan Goforth (127, 30:10.60) and Kollin Stokes (137, 36:06.90).
University Heights Academy’s Cole Glover, one of the top runners in the region, crossed the finish line in 17:20.30 to claim the victory.
Dawson Springs won the team event with 69 points, followed by Christian County (71), and Murray (73).
In the boys’ middle school race, HCA was represented by Luke Johnson, who finished the 3,000-meter race in a time of 16:10.60, which was 97th.
In the boys’ elementary school race of 1-mile, Tristan Heltsley led HCA with a 42nd-place finish in a time of 8:34.50. Richard Roberts finished 48th in 8:41.70. Others running included Colton Struble (49th, 8:45.70) and Elijah Heltsley (68th, 10:11.60).
In the girls’ varsity meet, HCA was paced by Genna Calhoun, who took 26th place in 29:13.30.
Makena Dalke was 42nd in 37:11.
Hopkinsville placed four runners in the top 12 and took first place with 36 points.
Murray’s Jade Green won the individual championship, crossing the finish line in 21:35.70.
In the girls’ middle school race of 3,000-meters, Lucy Smith took 106th in 20:33.20 for HCA.
In the elementary school girls’ race, HCA’s Lana Mullins took 27th in 8:32.30.
