University Heights Academy’s Cole Glover scorched the Hopkinsville Community College course and won the Christian County Invitational Cross Country meet Saturday morning by eight seconds.
Glover, one of the top runners in the region, crossed the finish line in 17:20.30 to claim the victory.
Jude Finch ran a personal best 19.35.20 to take 18th in the meet. Other Blazers running included Zech Davis (50th, 22:13.20) and Eyan Jones (74th, 23.39.50).
In the girls’ varsity meet, UHA did not have a female representative in the race.
In the boys’ middle school 3,000-meter race, Ronan Croney-Sallie and Graham Conrad scored top-10 finishes at 10:40.60 and 10:55.60, respectively. The Blazers took third place as a team with 89 points, finishing behind College View (32) and Rossview (84).
UHA also was represented by Scar Venable (21st, 11:51.50), Haydon Hayes (30th, 12:36), Garrett Bowling (36th, 12:49.60), Lane Loden (52nd, 13:46.50), and Lucas Stine (88th, 15.22.70).
Molly Cavinder competed in the middle school girls’ race and ran the 3,000-meter course in 18.37.50.
