A Crofton woman was injured in a single-vehicle, fiery crash on Crofton-Fruit Hill Road Thursday afternoon.
According to the Chrisitan County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Sharen Lee of Crofton was heading westbound on East Princeton Road when she swerved—possibly to avoid an animal in the road—which caused the vehicle to flip.
The vehicle left the road way and struck a concrete bridge, sending the vehicle into the creek below, where it overturned and then caught fire.
Lee was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries to her chest. Alcohol is listed as a possible factor in the crash.
