A collision between a passenger car and a semi-truck on Interstate 24 resulted in four people being transported to the hospital early Friday morning for possible injuries.
According to a report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, a semi-truck operated by Shaen Walker of North Carolina was traveling east on I-24 when a truck pulling a trailer operated by Jone Phillips also of North Carolina attempted to merge onto I-24 from the Exit 81 on ramp.
As Phillips merged, he reportedly pulled into Walker’s path resulting in a collision. Walker told law enforcement that he attempted to avoid the collision but his brakes locked up. Law enforcement reportedly witnessed skid marks in the road from Walker’s vehicle.
One adult and three juvenile passengers from Phillips’ vehicle were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for possible injuries.
