Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary July 2024 unemployment rate was 4.7 percent, which remained fairly stagnant when compared to last year.
According to a news release from the Kentucky Center for Statistics, the rate for July 2024 was up 0.1 percent in comparison to June, and up half a percentage point from one year ago. The United States seasonally adjusted jobless rate for July 2024 was 4.3 percent, up from the 4.1 percent recorded for June.
Kentucky’s civilian labor force was 2,054,015 in July 2024, an increase of 6,289 individuals from June 2024. The number of people employed in July increased by 4,801.
