On August 13, Murray State University Hutson School of Agriculture (HSOA) was recognized for their efforts in supporting agriculture.
Their recognition came from the Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce, where they received the 2024 Chamber of Commerce Agriculture award. The HOSA has had discussion of new growth this past year, with the Murray State University School of Veterinary Medicine proposal. The Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce has been a patron for the veterinary schools for some time now.
The long-established relationship between the HSOA and the Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce was built on the foundation of enhancing academic offerings for students.
Michelle Bundren, President and CEO of the Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce said, “Agriculture is the backbone of our community and the lifeblood of our local economy. Recognizing the Hutson School of Agriculture’s pivotal role in establishing a new School of Veterinary Medicine is not just a celebration but a vital acknowledgment of their significant contributions. We are honored to spotlight their achievements and support their continued growth.”
