Colonels hold off Franklin-Simpson in soccer opener

The Christian County High School boys’ soccer team opened the 2024 season Tuesday night with a 2-1 victory over host Franklin-Simpson.

Jaden Woolf scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Alex Hale at 42:24. The goal put the Colonels ahead 2-0.

Christian Lopez opened the scoring for the Colonels with an unassisted free kick at 12:33.

The Wildcats posted their only goal at 65:25.

Mason Malone had seven saves in goal for Christian County, which returns to play Thursday night at home against Murray.
