Heritage Christian Academy already has a state champion to its credit and the 2024 school year hasn’t even kicked off yet.
Carson Powell shot an 80 and claimed the Kentucky Christian Athletic Conference State Golf Championship on Monday at the Owl Creek Country Club in Louisville.
Powell carded a 41 on the front and turned in a 39 on the back nine to hold off the runner-up finisher from HIghlands Latin by four strokes.
