Sunny, dry weather set to start August

If you’re ready for a period of quiet, warm weather for the summer, this week is just for you.

It will be hot, but not the oppressive heat we’ve had recently—after a pretty hot start to the week, Justin Gibbs with the National Weather Service in Paducah says its going to return to more comfortable, seasonable temperatures.

He calls the weather this week delightfully dull—with sunny skies and dry weather in store.

Gibbs says it’s looking like average temperatures and average chances for precipitation is in the works for the 8-to-14-day outlook.

This year is in the running for having the most tornado miles tracked on record, so Gibbs says the quiet weather sounds like a good plan.
