Students in in Clarksville return to school on Wednesday, so motorists are being given the heads up to start being on the lookout for students walking or getting on and off buses.
According to the Clarksville Police Department, schools zones will be fully patrolled to help keep students and motorists alike safe. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, pay attention to traffic around you and be mindful of your surroundings.
CPD wants to remind the citizens that when school buses have stopped on the roadway for the purpose of receiving or discharging any school children and the visual signals are activated, all traffic needs to stop. This includes roadways such as Tiny Town Road that do not have a divider between East and West Traffic, this is not considered separate roadways. Please see the attached diagram.
