Second Wiffle For Life Tournament set to raise funds for Alpha Pregnancy Care Center

Alpha Pregnancy Care Center is gearing up for a day of fun in the sun and competitive spirit all in the name of funding a good cause, as their second annual Wiffle Ball Tournament returns to Ruff Park.

The “Wiffle for Life” tournament will take place September 7 starting bright and early at 8 a.m. at Ruff Park, and Executive Director Angie Crawford says last year’s was so much fun they couldn’t wait to do it again.

They are still looking for teams to take part—teams are made up of nine individuals with awards given to first and second place teams. But the big award of the day, the Alpha MVP Trophy, will go to the team that raises the most money to support Alpha.

Crawford says all money raised goes right back to support local mothers and babies in the community through Alpha’s programs and resources.

You can register a team on the Alpha Pregnancy Care Center Facebook page through the Event tab. If you’re looking to just watch the fun that day, you can get in with a donation of diapers or baby wipes—or it’s a $5 per person, with kids five years old and younger getting in free.
