Tickets on sale for the 50th annual Unity Breakfast

Although it’s coming up in October, the Hopkinsville-Christian County Human Rights Commission is already accepting award nominations and selling tickets for its 50th annual Unity Breakfast.

Commission Executive Director, Raychel Farmer says tickets are already on sale and they are going quickly. Farmer says they are currently selling tickets at a cheaper price for their early bird sale, but come August 1, the prices will increase

At the breakfast, the Hal and Betye Thurmond Award, the Mayor’s Unity Award, the Judge’s Unity Award, the Standard Award for Excellence and the Volunteer of the Year Award will be presented. The commission is accepting award nominations at hrchoptown.org through September 27.

Farmer also shared that the theme for the breakfast is 50 Years of Compassion.

The Unity Breakfast is set for October 24 at the Bruce Convention Center. Tickets are available on eventbrite.com.
