HPD charges Henderson woman with assault

The Hopkinsville Police Department has charged a Henderson woman with second-degree assault following an altercation at a store on West Seventh Street. 

According to the police report, officers responded to reports of a disturbance at a location in the 1200 block of West Seventh Street and investigation revealed that 56-year-old Robin Williamson of Henderson was in a verbal disagreement with an employee when other customers attempted to separate them.

Williamson reportedly became upset and began fighting with the customers—that’s when she allegedly grabbed a small wooden bat and hit the victim in the head, causing visible injuries. 

A search of her belongings reportedly revealed drug paraphernalia. Williamson was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
