A two-car collision on the intersection of South Mcpherson Avenue and West 2nd Street resulted in injuries on Sunday.
According to a police report, James Bland of Hopkinsville stopped at the intersection but had trouble seeing the road due to other cars parked on the roadway. Bland proceeded north through the intersection when he believed it was safe.
Another car operated by Keir Majors of Hopkinsville was traveling west through the intersection at the same time as Bland. Majors reportedly spotted Bland in the road and honked his horn. Bland told law enforcement he heard the horn but was unable to move out of the way. The two cars collided in the intersection.
Majors complained of pains in his side following the accident, and was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Bland reportedly declined emergency services and did not complain of any pain. However, his car was seriously damaged, and required towing.
