Riding the play of senior Conlee Lindsey, the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers’ golf team took home a top-10 finish Monday in the prestigious Daviess County Invitational at The Pearl Club in Owensboro.
Lindsey shot a 2-over-par 74 and finished four shots behind tournament champion Claire Reynolds of Daviess County.
South Warren took home the team title with a score of 323, edging Bowling Green, who finished at 325. Daviess County took third place in the team standings with a 335.
UHA had a team score of 371. Allie Sandifer recorded an 86, followed by Campbell Lindsey (98) and Caroline Tucker (113).
The Lady Blazers jump right back into action Tuesday when they travel to the Marshall County Invitational. Hopkinsville’s Cate Blane also will participate in the event.
The Hopkinsville and UHA boys’ teams open their 2024 seasons, playing Tuesday at Marshall County.
