The Christian County High School boys’ golf team opened up its 2024 season Monday at the Henderson County Invitational at the Henderson Country Club.
Although rain was forecast, it turned out to be a beautiful day on the course and the Colonels’ Drew Fincham took advantage, carding an 87 to lead the team.
Tay Martinez had a 98, followed by Jaedon McMillan (108), Peyton Hilton (109) and Chris Adcock.
“HCC is a tough course and for two of them it was their first ever tournament,” Christian County coach Stacy Crick said. “The boys scored better than they did in their qualifier. I was proud of them.”
The Colonels return to action Wednesday at Madisonville.
