Three people were transferred to the hospital following a traffic accident at the intersection of Cadiz Road and Major Lane on Sunday.
According to a police report, Emily Noland of Hopkinsville was traveling northbound on Major Lane before stopping at the intersection of Cadiz Road. Noland began to turn right before realizing she was supposed to make a left turn. She reportedly attempted to correct the mistake but did not notice an oncoming car.
Hope Smith of Crofton was traveling eastbound on Cadiz road when Noland pulled forward and struck the front bumper of her car. The impact reportedly sent Noland’s car veering into the grass, and knocked Smith’s car into the adjacent lane. Both cars sustained serious damage and where towed.
A witness to the wreck called 911 while checking on the occupants of the two cars.
Noland reports she lost consciousness upon impact with Smith’s car. Noland, Smith, and the front passenger of Noland’s car were transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
