Hopkinsville Community College is celebrating a successful second annual Minds in Motion Camp, where several young men participated in the STEM-H Camp.
According to a news release, this camp was a partnership between the Hopkinsville Community College Diversity Council and Workforce Solutions. Multiple staff members and community volunteers worked together to host the camp, where several young men from Men2Be took four days to design, build and test an electric skateboard, while learning about various fields of study.
They spent time learning of chemistry, math, construction, 3D printing, nursing, welding, and CDL operations as well as touring the HCC campus, and learning to ride the skateboards they built and decorated themselves.
