Brice Long Back-2-Back Foundation concert set to raise funds and support local families

The Brice Long Back-2-Back Foundation Concert is a familiar summer time staple in Hopkinsville—and it returns to the Alhambra Theater this Saturday to raise funds for a good cause.

Country music artist and songwriter Brice Long is a native to the area and although he has gone on to fame, success and travels the country performing, he has never forgotten his roots—and 20 years ago, he formed the Back-2-Back Foundation to help local families in need have a great Christmas.

Speaking with WHOP Thursday morning, Long says they’ve been able to hear first-hand accounts from those they’ve impacted over the years—including a conversation with a man who said that what they did for his family will stay with him forever.

He says the foundation and the concert have both really grown over the years—they started with just five families, and have since expanded into the triple digits—and Long says it wouldn’t be possible without community support.

He says all money raised goes right back into benefiting the people of these communities and while they do help out in numerous ways through the year, their main focus in Christmas.

If you can’t make it out to the concert, there is a donation option on the Back-2-Back Foundation website, with Long saying any amount goes a long way.

The concert this Saturday, starting at 7 p.m. at the Alhambra, will feature Long and the music group McBride and The Ride, as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of the concert. What takes that are left can be purchased online at pennyroyalarts.org.
