Princeton man charged with murder in crash that killed 15-month-old

The Princeton Police Department has arrested and charged the motorcyclist involved in a crash that killed a 15-month-old child on July 5.

According to a news release, 47-year-old Joseph Traylor of Princeton has been arrested and charged with murder and reckless driving. Investigation into the single-vehicle motorcycle crash in the 300 block of Beverly Lane revealed that Traylor was operating a motorcycle with the child strapped to his chest.

He allegedly drove the wrong way on a one-way street and was attempting a wheelie before he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a telephone pole. 

The child was pronounced deceased at the scene and Traylor was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment. He has since been taken into custody.
