The Christian County Chamber of Commerce gave out two annual leadership awards and announced the members of its next Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County class on Thursday at Business After Hours.
The chamber presented the Legacy of Leadership Award to Tab Brockman, the former superintendent of Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation. According to the chamber, the legacy award goes to a leadership program graduate who exemplifies long-standing and dedicated leadership that has enhanced the community.
The Leadership in Action Award was presented to Tracey Clark the executive director of the Jennie Stuart Health Foundation. According to the chamber, the action award goes to an individual who takes advantage of opportunities to serve others and to help the county become a better place.
In addition to the awards, the chamber announced the 22 individuals who will make up the 2024-2025 class of the leadership program. This year’s class will be led by coordinators Colette Marfil and Eric White graduates of the program.
Program participants will attend leadership development exercises and once a month they will meet and focus on different aspects of the community such as education, the judicial system, the military, agriculture and more.
Leadership Committee Chair, Wende Aldridge said she is excited about this year’s class to have the opportunity to work together and learn more about Christian County.
