Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision in Lyon County.
According to a news release, the crash happened just after 5 p.m. on Monday near the 42-mile marker of Interstate 24 in Lyon County when a vehicle operated by 54-year-old Brent Burban of Eddyville that was heading eastbound crossed the median and into the westbound lanes for an unknown reason.
It collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Evan Ralph of Maryland.
Burban was pronounced deceased at the scene—Ralph was not injured.
