A Madisonville man has facing a second-degree manslaughter charge following investigation into the death of a man on Bean Cemetery Road in June.
According to a news release, officers with the Madisonville Police Department responded to a residence on Bean Cemetery Road on June 4 for a medical emergency that had turned into a death investigation after life-saving measures were unsuccessful. The victim was identified as 23-year-old Christian Crook of Madisonville.
Investigation determined the cause of death to be a suspected Fentanyl overdose.
Following interviews and further investigation, on Monday, officers took 29-year-old Jawan Combs of Madisonville into custody and charged him with second-degree manslaughter and first-degree trafficking in Fentanyl. He allegedly admitted to selling the victim multiple Fentanyl pills.
