Eddyville crash leaves one injured

Eddyville Police responded to a two-car collision on an intersection of U.S. 62 in Eddyville on June 24.

According to a police report, 17-year-old Jacob Matchen of Eddyville was traveling east bound on U.S. 62 when he disregarded a traffic stop and collided with a north bound vehicle driven by 54-year-old Billy Coursey of Eddyville. Both cars sustained severe damage.

A passenger of the Tahoe, 49-year-old Kathy Coursey of Eddyville, was injured in the crash was reportedly removed from the car by firefighters from the Eddyville Fire Department. She was transported to Baptist Health-Paducah by Lyon County EMS.

Both drivers reportedly refused medical transportation.
