A Hopkinsville woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Canton Street and South Henderson Drive Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Hopkinsville police collision report, a vehicle operated by 83-year-old Mary Reed of Hopkinsville was stopped waiting for traffic to clear so she could head through the intersection onto North Henderson.
Another vehicle driven by 63-year-old Nina Grace was stopped at the stop sign and believed that Reed had a right-turn signal on, so proceeded through the intersection thinking Reed was turning right. Instead, Reed reportedly had her hazard lights on due to the heavy rain at the time.
The two collided in the intersection—Reed was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt.
