Two people have been arrested in connection with a homicide investigation into the death of Carlos Camaja in Springfield, Tennessee.
According to a news release from the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, investigation began on June 11 when the 24-year-old Camaja was found deceased near the train tracks near on North Qualls Road. It was determined that he was shot and killed at a residence on North Oak Street in Springfield and then taken to and left at the location near the tracks.
Investigation has led to the arrests of Camaja’s girlfriend, 48-year-old Celia Ramirez-Hernandez and her son, 34-year-old Misael Cruz-Hernandez, both of Springfield. Both are charged with criminal homicide, criminal simulation and fabricating or tampering with evidence.
The investigation remains ongoing.
