Faith and Family Day is set for Sunday at the Western Kentucky State Fair, which will feature the first of the tractor pulls and youth pageants.
The youth pageants, which includes age groups ranging from three-year-old to 15-year-olds, start in the air-conditioned convention center at 1 p.m. Sunday—gates open for the fairgrounds at 2 p.m. and rides open at 3 p.m. Armbands for unlimited rides will be $25 starting at 5 p.m.
Sunday is Faith and Family Night and Fair Board Chair Brad Hewell says individuals with a church bulletin will be able to get into the fair free from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Antique tractor pulls take over the grandstands at 3 p.m. and Hewell says admission there is $5. He says they had great success with crowd numbers in last year’s fair, and he hopes to beat those numbers this year.
Hewell thanked their numerous sponsors, saying the fair couldn’t happen without them and their many volunteers.
The fair continues until June 29—for more information, go online to westernkentuckystatefair.org.
