The Western Kentucky State Fair rolls back into the fairgrounds in Hopkinsville on Friday, and it brings with all of the fan favorites, from rides to food, from shows to beauty pageants.
WKSF Board Chair Brad Hewell appeared on WHOP Tuesday morning and says they’re excited to get things rolling Friday, with gates opening at 5 p.m. and admission is still staying steady at $3 per person.
Military personnel with ID get in for $1, and children two-years old and younger get in free. Friday will be a $25 armband night for unlimited rides. The petting zoo opens at 6 p.m. and then the Country Twang Band will start performing in the air-conditioned convention center starting at 6:30 p.m.
Hewell says parking remains free, but he did warn people to make sure they’re not parking on nearby private property, so no one gets towed during the fair.
A full list of events for the week of the fair—from June 21 through June 29—can be viewed on westernkentuckystatefair.org.
