The feel of summer-time is in the air and that means Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation is busier than ever, gearing up for numerous events.
This year sees the return of the Hoptown Hosedown and Rachel Sanders with Parks and Recreation says kids can get a cool-down with the Hopkinsville Fire Department throughout the month of July, starting on July 2 at Joe Mumford Park.
From there, HFD will be at the Boys and Girls Club on July 9, back at Joe Mumford Park on July 16, returning to the Boys and Girls Club on July 23 before wrapping up at Joe Mumford Park on July 30.
The City will celebrate the Fourth of July in style with the Red, White and Ooh Fireworks Extravaganza at Ruff Park, and Sanders says while the fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. there will be food trucks, outdoor bouncers and more for families to enjoy at 7 p.m.
Then in August will be the Summer Salute Festival, featuring wall-to-wall food and merchandise vendors, family activities and live music that everyone can enjoy. For more information on upcoming events in Hopkinsville, visit Hopkinsville Parks and Rec on Facebook.
