A Hopkinsville man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on KY 115 in Oak Grove Saturday night.
According to Kentucky State Police, troopers were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint on KY 115 when 29-year-old Roderick Crossley of Hopkinsville reportedly approached the checkpoint around 11:20 p.m.
After allegedly failing to provide his license, Crossley fled from the checkpoint at a high rate of speed. Troopers located the vehicle he had been driving wrecked in a field north of I-24.
Investigation determined that Crossley had lost control after crossing the I-24 overpass, with the vehicle leaving the roadway and overturning several times, ejecting Crossley from the vehicle.
Crossley was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Christian County Coroner.
