Two-vehicle collision at intersection results in injuries

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Dawson Springs Road and Bypass Road that resulted in injuries on Tuesday.

According to a report, a truck towing a trailer operated by Lucas Hale of Cerulean was driving west on Bypass Road approaching Dawson Springs Road. As Hale was crossing the intersection, a vehicle operated by Richard Hamilton of Hopkinsville traveling south on Dawson Springs Road reportedly hit the rear wheel well of Hale’s trailer.

Hamilton’s vehicle reportedly continued south following the collision and struck a pole.

Hale claimed that his traffic light was green and Hamilton claimed that his light was yellow as he attempted to cross the intersection.

Both Hamilton and a passenger in his vehicle were transported to hospitals for their injuries.
