Christian Fiscal Court approved several bids for county projects at Tuesday morning’s meeting.
One of the big items that Fiscal Court has been working to address for some time now is a new concession stand at Ruff Park, and a bid in the amount of $377,876 was approved. Judge-Executive Jerry Gilliam says part of that will be paid through a grant with the Pennyrile Area Development District and construction will hopefully be completed in the next six-to-nine months.
Magistrates approved that bid unanimously, along with bids to increase cyber security efforts in county buildings, along with improvements to two control panels at the ECC.
Magistrate Phillip Peterson says seems things to be going well so far concerning the new billing agency for county EMS services, with everything running smoothly.
Also approved was a bid for the removal of dead livestock in the county.
Fiscal Court did go into closed session, but no action was taken upon their return.
