Clarksville man charged following high-speed pursuit in Guthrie

A Clarksville man is facing numerous charges following a pursuit in Guthrie Saturday night.

According to the police report from the Guthrie Police Department, officers were passed by a motorcycle traveling at approximately 125 miles per hour on U.S. 79, and officers immediately attempted to stop the vehicle.  A pursuit began, heading south on U.S. 79, passing numerous vehicles on the wrong side of the road.

The pursuit came to an end when the motorcycle reportedly attempted to go around a motorist and crashed into a Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy’s cruiser.

The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 19-year-old Parker Johnson of Clarksville, who allegedly told officer he had fled because he didn’t want a ticket.  He is facing charged of first-degree fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, speeding, two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, criminal mischief and multiple traffic violations
