One charged in relation to shots fired incident in Madisonville

According to the report from the Madisonville Police Department, officers responded to the Days Inn around 4:45 a.m. Thursday morning for reports of a shots fired. Investigation determined that two individuals had been yelling in the field across from the hotel when the shots were fired.

Contact was made with Brianna Whitfield, who was reportedly trying to leave the area, who informed officers she did have a gun on her person. She reportedly told them she had gotten into an argument with another person and became upset, so she pulled the pistol out and fired shots into the air.
