The Christian County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Hopkinsville man with felony theft after he allegedly stole a CSX generator on Old Madisonville Road.
According to a news release, deputies responded to reports of a theft in progress on Old Madisonville Road, near the railroad. A photo of the suspect showed a dark-colored vehicle dragging a generator on a wooden pallet. Deputies were able to locate that vehicle at the residence of 40-year-old Paul Edmonds.
Edmonds allegedly admitted to taking the generator, which was valued at $1,300. He was arrested and charged with felony theft by unlawful taking.
