Kentucky residents and organizations in the 20 counties along U.S. Highway 68 have moved their business outside for this year’s 400 Mile Yard Sale.
The yard sale kicked off on Thursday and concludes on Sunday. The yard sale route runs through the Pennyrile region in Christian, Todd and Trigg counties. In Christian County yard sale sites are being hosted at Founder’s Square in downtown Hopkinsville, the Christian County Animal Shelter, the Skyline Shopping Center and many other locations.
Local nonprofit, Joy Closet, is among the vendors at Skyline Shopping Center and they are selling clothes and lemonade. Nonprofit Executive Director, Heather Gray says for five dollars shoppers can fill a plastic bag full of donated clothes and the proceeds will go toward the nonprofit’s work.
Todd County resident Teddy Hutchison, who is hosting a yard sale, says he has seen people from out of the county traveling the yard sale route.
Those interested in shopping the yard sale can find participating locations at 400mile.com.
