The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will block a portion of KY 109 in Hopkins County this week to make way for storm debris clean up.
The closure will take place on KY 109 in the Dunn Church area to about Daylight Road each day this week from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., as crews began the process of removing tornado debris from the state right-of-way, caused by the strong EF-3 tornado on May 26.
The section of roadway will be restricted to local traffic only during work hours—clean-up is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
