Two individuals were arrested after Hopkinsville Police officers reportedly discovered them to be in possession of a stolen vehicle on Friday, May 31.
According to a report, 36-year-old Brian Combs of Hopkinsville and 44-year-old Sherita Simpson of Staffordsville were arrested after being discovered in a stolen Chevrolet Tahoe behind the Rodeway Inn on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Combs, who was in the driver’s seat upon discovery, allegedly maintained that the car belonged to him. However, Police verified the car had been reported stolen by the owner.
The pair were charged with receiving stolen property valued between $1,000 and $10,000.
