A motorcyclist collided with a deer early Friday morning on Ovil Road and was reportedly life flighted to a Nashville hospital for his injuries.
According to a report from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, David Ehlschide of Bowling Green was driving a motorcycle eastbound near the 12000 block of Ovil Road when he collided with a deer.
As a result of the collision, Ehlschide’s motorcycle reportedly overturned and slid around 100 feet before coming to a stop and Ehlschide slid around 80 feet before coming to a stop and suffered multiple injuries to his head, chest, legs and all over his person.
Ehlschide was life flighted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for his injuries where he is reported to be in critical but stable condition. Deputies reported that they could smell alcohol emanating from Ehlschide.
The deer was reportedly found deceased in a ditch north of the impact.
