Christian County Emergency Management announced that storm debris clean-up in the county will begin on Monday, June 3.
Those with vegetative debris on their property from Sunday’s storms such as trees and tree limbs should place the debris along the roadway by Monday for it to be disposed of. Debris should not be placed near street signs, fire hydrants, power poles or its stabilizing wires.
Crews from the Christian County Road Department and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be picking up debris starting in the southwest portion of the county in the Binns Mill Road, Simmons Lane, Simmons Cemetery Road, Striped Bridge Road and Walnut Lane area.
On Monday only vegetative debris will be removed which does not include tree stumps or root balls. Clean-up for additional types of debris will be announced at a later date.
