Locals will soon take to the stage at the Alhambra Theatre to raise money and support a great cause, as Dancing With Our Stars returns in September.
This will be the fifth Dancing With Our Stars competition locally, presented by Hughart, Beard and Giles, and dance professionals from Brooke Bailey Dance Addiction and Gymnastics, Bluegrass Dancecats and Dance 270 will serve as mentors and coaches.
The community can participate and help teams raise money by casting their ‘vote’ for their favorite team—each dollar donated counts as a vote, with the overall competition winners named from a combination of dance scores and dollars raised. Online donations will once again be available with one team named a winner with the “Online Fan Favorite” award.
Tickets will go on sale on July 9 and will be available through online ticketing at pennyroyalarts.org and will be $60 per person. Proceeds from the event and the funds raised during the dancing festivities will support the missions of both the Pennyroyal Arts Council and Sanctuary, Inc.
The Dancing With Our Stars event has raised over $300,000 in its past performances and organizers are hoping for a large crowd, so make sure and grab your tickets before they’re gone.
