After his retrial ended in a mistrial in April, Robert Torian appeared in Christian Circuit Court on Wednesday where a resolution was denied and a new trial date was set.
The second trial ended abruptly when Special Prosecutor, Dennis Foust was questioning a witness who revealed information that had been ruled as not permissible at trial. Torian is charged with murder in connection to the 2019 shooting death of Terrill Moore.
On Wednesday, Torian’s Defense Attorney, Jason Byrd shared that Torian turned down an offer from Foust of a 15-year sentence for manslaughter and wants his case to be tried again at trial.
Christian Circuit Judge, Andrew Self set the trial for June 24.
Byrd also requested a bond modification for Torian which Self denied. Torian will reappear in court on June 5 for a pretrial conference.
