Community College recognizes graduating HOPEFAME students

Hopkinsville Community College (HCC) recently recognized 35 graduating, current and incoming HOPFAME students and their manufacturing industry partners at their Going Pro ceremony.

HOPFAME is the Hopkinsville chapter of the Kentucky Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education which is program at HCC that collaborates with regional manufacturers to offer students apprenticeship style training while they are taking classes.

Eight of the students recognized are apart of the 2024 spring graduating class and received graduation cords. Of the graduating students, Skylar Wilson was named the 2024 HOPFAME Distinguished Graduate and Kaedyn Fillers received the 2024 Adrian Tucker MVP Award.

Along with the graduates, six students continuing their HOPFAME studies and 21 students set to start the program in August were recognized as well.

The partner companies providing apprenticeship style training includes, Huhtamaki, Novelis, Metalasa, Douglas Autotech and much more. Additional information about the HOPFAME program can be found at hopkinsville.kctcs.edu.
