As the end of the school year fast approaches, fundraising efforts are still underway for the 2024 Project Graduation with cow pasture bingo coming up next week.
Project Graduation is an initiative that allows a safe, responsible place for graduating seniors to have fun and be with their friends to close the chapter on their high school life with an alcohol-free and drug-free environment. Coordinator Shawna Johnson says the celebration will look a little different this year, as the students voted for an event that would allow them to watch movies, along with the usual activities.
The movies start around 1 a.m. and Johnson says when those end, it will be about time for the seniors to head home, just when the sun is starting to rise.
Cow pasture bingo tickets are still on sale to benefit the initiative, and the event itself takes place on May 10.
Tickets can be purchased from any graduating senior or by going to Christian County High School and asking for Shawna Johnson.
