Those interested on serving on the Christian County School Board in District 1 have until May 10 to file an application to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Jeff Moore.
Whoever is chosen to fill the seat will do so until the November 2024 regular election. To be eligible, one must be at least 24-years old and have been a Kentucky citizen for the last three years, be a registered voter in District 1, have a high school diploma or GED certificate and meet all legal qualifications.
Applications are available at the Christian County Board of Education Central Office at 200 Glass Avenue or online on the Christian County Public Schools website.
Applications must be received by close of business on May 10. Board members will select a person to fill the vacancy from the list of eligible applicants—if they fail to choose a replacement, whether through being unable to come to an agreement or having no applicants, it goes to the Department of Education to fill.
