Motorists can expect lane restrictions in both the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 69 in Caldwell County on Wednesday.
According to a news release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, traffic in both directions will be reduced to one lane from the Lyon County-Caldwell County line at mile marker 73 to the 78-mile marker, about two miles west of the KY 91 exit in Princeton. The restrictions are to allow crews to perform asphalt testing in the driving lanes of the interstate between 9 am. and 3:30 p.m.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
